As a small bakery owner, I am writing to share with you some challenges we are facing at Yann Haute Patisserie. As we value honesty and transparency it is important to us that you know a little more about our behind the scenes.
Since the end of the pandemic, we have experienced significant price increases in essential ingredients, particularly chocolate, due to global market fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
Despite our best efforts to absorb these costs for many months, we have been left with no choice but to adjust our prices to ensure the continued quality and sustainability of our baked goods and business.
I want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly.
What is driving the price increases?
Chocolate prices have risen exponentionlly due to cocoa bean shortages and increased demand.
Other key ingredients such as flour, sugar, butter and dairy products, have also seen and continue to see substantial price hikes.
What does this mean for you as our valued customer?
As of October 14th, we will be implementing a price adjustment on select items to reflect these increased costs. We have worked very hard to minimize the impact and to ensure our prices remain competitive.
We are going to keep giving back to our community with programs like Leftovers and fundraiser participations as we always have.
What we are doing to mitigate the impact:
We are committed to maintaining the same high-quality ingredients and baking standards you have enjoyed and come to expect from us.
We are exploring alternative suppliers and efficient practices to offset future price increases.
We will continue to offer loyalty programs, gifts, and giveaways to show our appreciation for your patronage.
